Senior Lecturer
Associate Professor
I am a professor in production technology within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. I am thematic group leader of the group ‘Welding and welding-based Additive Manufacturing’. In the multi-disciplinary team of researchers from three different divisions within the department, we cover process development, modelling, simulation, process monitoring and control, metallurgy and mechanical characterization.
My main research interest is in laser materials processing including multiple processes from cutting, hardening, welding to Additive Manufacturing. My scientific focus is on laser-matter interaction, monitoring and modeling of the behavior of molten material and induced vaporization.
I worked on many national, regional and international projects as coordinator and/or manager with partners from industry and academia, e.g. EIT Raw Materials, Horizon Europe, Swedish research council (Vetenskapsrådet), Vinnova, AiF and DFG.
My teaching activities are in production technology with a focus on welding and Additive Manufacturing in various courses for different audiences.
